Private Practice Start-Up, Resources, and Referrals

Here are personal referrals to resources I currently use and how I started my own online and in-person private practice.

~ 3 Important numbers you need to register for to create a legitimate online private practice.

1. EIN (employer identification number) this number allows your business to be registered with the IRS and allows you to apply for business credit cards and loans under your EIN —OR— your TAX ID/ SSN. Obtaining an EIN is free.

2. NPI (National Provider Identification Number) for healthcare providers (needed for insurance carriers etc).

3. CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare)

~ Obtain a virtual address to avoid putting your personal address on your business documentation.

~ Obtain a Google Voice Phone Number

~ Obtain Liability insurance.
